Agenda
8:45 - 9:00: Meet & greet with coffee and maybe a 'Tim Tam salm'.
9:00 - 9:30: Introduction; A review of the world markets thru the monthly updates to the Elliss model for a correction.
9:30 - 11:00: I am Never Wrong! (or am I?) - a webinar by Robert Brain
Many traders and investors have come from a professional background (like engineering or science) where they need to be correct 100% of the time. So they seek out the perfect trading system and they never quite get there; after one or two losses, they despair.
It can be very difficult for a perfectionist to accept that trading /investing will deliver some failures. There is no such thing as the 100% perfect system to deliver profits at all times.
In this session Robert will address the following:
• How feasible is a 100% winning strategy?
• Have a look at personality traits, including humility;
• Consider cognitive biases: “I’m always right” and the over-confidence bias;
• What sort of trading metrics are reasonable?
This session will help you to be more comfortable with the realities of the trading / investing world and outcomes.
